On August 22, a group of specialists from the International Civil Defense Organization (ICDO) participated in advanced training courses on handling emergencies involving electric vehicles in Belarus. The training took place at the Institute for Retraining and Advanced Training, a branch of the University of Civil Protection under the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) of Belarus. Participants included representatives from Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Kazakhstan, Russia, Serbia, Palestine, Iraq, Azerbaijan, Tunisia, Lebanon, and Sudan.
The educational program, titled “Organization and Conduct of Emergency Response Operations for Electric Vehicle-Related Incidents,” was designed to enhance the professional skills of ICDO specialists. The practical part of the training, focusing on dealing with electric vehicle-related emergencies, was conducted at the University of Civil Protection’s branch. The trainees practiced stabilizing electric vehicles, disconnecting power supplies, rescuing victims, providing first aid, cooling power batteries, and extinguishing fires using the NTC-15.92 laboratory stand, which simulates an electric vehicle affected by fire.
