The training laboratory system provides the possibility of carrying out laboratory works in the course of “Life safety. Lighting”.

A frontal panel is designed as separate fragments of electric circuits investigated in laboratory works.

The circuit shown at the panel is realized as the sections for studying the operation of the linear fluorescent lamp with connection circuit including electronic control gear and the linear LED lamp combined at one figure. Connection of the external luminaires is made via a standard socket and a key switch.

A lux meter-pulse meter and a photometric unit of transparent polycarbonate, which has a rotatable platform with an angular scale, are used for registration of the dependence of illuminance of the working surface on its angulation. Angulation is registered on the scale. Bulbs in the lamp on a flexible stem are replaced in order to determine brightness of the working surface with various light sources.

The stand is accompanied with a set of teaching materials and technical documentation intended for the teaching staff.

Experiments provided

  1. Determination of dependance of natural illumination and natural illumination factor of the premises on the distance to light opening at external wall of the building.
  2. Measurement of illumination and pulse factor of light flux at working place at general and combined lighting.
  3. Study of illumination dependance of working surface on its angle of slope.
  4. Study of brightness of the working surface.
  5. Measurement of light flux pulse factor of linear fluorescent lamp of low pressure with electronic control gear.
  6. Measurement of light flux pulse factor of the linear LED lamp.
