The training laboratory equipment is designed to gain skills and experience in the installation of the FOCL trunk section, its technical operation and repair, as well as carrying out scheduled preventive and emergency repair work.

Structurally, the stand is a mounting platform.
The equipment is mounted directly on the front vertical and horizontal panels of the mounting platform and includes:
  • wall-type optic terminal box;
  • rack-mountable optic terminal cross;
  • cable stock suspension unit.

 

Experiments provided

  1. Mounting the couplings and optical terminal boxes.
  2. Measurement of optical parameters of FOCL by bilateral measurements of backscattering at two wavelengths.
  3. Switching in accordance with the connection circuits.
