The equipment constructively consists of:

tearing machine;
power-and-protection unit;
unit of control and linkage with computer.

Tearing machine has a motorized drive of active capture control operated from PC or laptop. Software allows testing patterns in accordance with predefined parameters and setting the required test rate. Graphical output of the experimental curves in real-time mode and a possibility to save the results of the experiment in a separate file for further processing in other applications facilitate the experiment and make it demonstrative.

A PC is connected to an external control block with USB-cable. The block has buttons which control rapid movement of active capture and an emergency stop button conveniently located on the frontal panel.

The training laboratory equipment is accompanied with:

a set of teaching materials and technical documentation intended for the teaching staff;
software.
