The training laboratory bench allows to determine the loss of stability in compression and the amount of the deflections.

The laboratory stand is designed for carrying out the experiments studying “Strength of materials” of technical mechanics course at higher technical educational institutions. 

Structurally, the stand is made in the form of a prefabricated base on which there are two brackets supporting a rod of great flexibility (made of steel). The brackets are equipped with centering devices for round rods. On the upper bracket there is a pin with weights to create a deformation of the rod of great flexibility. To determine the magnitude of the deflection of a rod of great flexibility, indicator heads are mounted on the base.

The laboratory stand is supplied with a set of methodical and technical documentation for academic staff.
