The stand allows to determine value and direction of flexure of beams of different lateral sections under skew bending, loading them with different weights.

The laboratory stand is designed for carrying out laboratory works when studying “Strength of materials” of technical mechanics course at higher educational institutions of non-machine-building specialization and at secondary educational institutions of machine-building and instrument-making specializations.

Structurally, the training laboratory equipment is made as a prefabricated base, On its rack is rigidly fixed the left end of the beam. Attached to the right end of the beam is a cable tensioned with rollers. The tension in the cable is created by the load. Under the action of the force applied from the side of the cable, the beam is deformed. The movement of the left end of the beam in the vertical and horizontal planes is fixed by indicator heads. On the beam, at some distance from the free end, a section is highlighted in which mechanical stresses can be measured using strain gauges.

The loaded beam’s shifts are measured with dial gauge indicator. 

The stand is accompanied with:

  • a set of teaching materials and technical documentation intended for the teaching staff;
  • a software.
