The laboratory stand (unit) is designed for training purposes when conducting laboratory and practical works. The unit is suitable for conducting works related to the investigation of flame areas at different heights in diffuse and kinetic combustion.
The stand is performed as a set of desktop equipment. A gas burner and a measuring system are installed on special basements. The burner is equipped with a mixer for mixing gas with air. Air flow rate is regulated by means of special valves. Temperatures in different zones of the flame are measured by means of a thermocouple mounted on a tripod. The temperature can be increased or reduced along the height of the flame with the regulator. The gas enters the mixer from the cylinder whereas the air enters from the compressor receiver. The thermocouple readings are registered by the measuring device. The stand is complemented with the compressor.
A set of methodical and technical documentation intended for academic staff is attached to the laboratory stand.
