The laboratory stand is designed for educational purposes in higher and secondary specialized educational institutions for conducting laboratory and practical classes on the study of the Geely Emgrand car’s construction, as well as for forming initial knowledge about the vehicle in secondary specialized and higher educational institutions.

The stand consists of a Geely Emgrand car with functional cutouts on the front and rear left doors, hood, and a block for injecting faults.

The fault injection block is a frame made of industrial aluminum profile with a front panel. The panel displays electrical connection diagrams of sensors, diagrams of sensor locations in the engine compartment, and includes a USB interface connector, power circuit fuse, and automatic switch. Inside the control unit, there is a power supply unit, a communication board with a computer, and a relay board.

Fault injection is done from a computer using EM_Base software. Fault diagnosis is performed by connecting an auto scanner to the car’s diagnostic connector.

The laboratory stand is accompanied with:

  • A set of teaching materials and technical documentation intended for the teaching staff.
  • Software allowing for the injection of faults into the vehicle’s electrical system.

Experiments provided

  1. Study of the Geely Emgrand car’s device.
  2. Introduction and diagnosis of faults in the electrical system.
  3. Collection of actual signals from sensors using an oscilloscope.
