The stand consists of two main units:
- A main unit that contains the electrical equipment, electronic boards, and front panel;
- A machine unit, which includes a squirrel-cage induction motor, a separately excited DC motor, and an optical speed sensor with rotation direction detection.
The main unit contains:
- A frequency converter, which generates a three-phase AC supply with variable frequency and voltage;
- A pulse-width modulation (PWM) converter for supplying the armature and field windings of the DC motor;
- A measurement system for displaying and recording electrical and mechanical parameters (current, voltage, electric power, speed, and torque);
- A position controller for analyzing the performance of the induction motor in servo drive mode.
The front panel includes:
- Frequency converter controls;
- DC converter controls;
- Controls for start-up and regulation equipment;
- Indicators for the measurement system;
- USB port for PC connection.
The stand comes with:
- Software;
- A set of teaching materials and technical documentation intended for the teaching staff.
