NTC-10.66.1 “Systems of relay protection and automatic equipment”

Br0.00

The educational laboratory stand is designed for use as training equipment in higher education institutions, secondary specialized schools, and vocational-technical colleges during laboratory and practical lessons on relay protection and automation in power supply systems. The main module involves studying and practically applying various methods of protective relay schemes for power transmission lines and electrical circuits. Laboratory work covers instant overcurrent protection, as well as maximum current protections with different time-delay modes—independent, dependent, and limited. It also explores voltage protection schemes, line and transformer differential protections, and automatic overload protection systems, including automatic activation of backup power sources and reclosing of lines and transformers. Additionally, directed and remote overcurrent protections for power transmission lines are examined.

An additional module includes testing and investigating various protective relays: current, voltage, time, as well as power direction and impedance relays. Special attention is given to the characteristics of relays with limited dependent time delay and differential current relays, enabling assessment of their performance under various operating modes of power systems.
