NTC-10.10.4 “Protective relaying and automation terminal of electricity transmission line”
The educational laboratory stand is intended for use as training equipment in higher education institutions, secondary specialized schools, and vocational-technical colleges during laboratory and practical lessons on programming and operation of the MR-301 microprocessor relay protection system. It involves studying the principles of operation, settings, and functioning of terminal protection systems to ensure reliable protection of electrical networks. Various schemes of maximum current protection for power transmission lines (PTLs) are examined. Methods of automatic reclosing (AR) in single-sided power supply are considered, along with protection against asymmetrical operations and single-phase ground faults to enhance system stability. Techniques for accelerating relay protection and automation responses in automatic mode, especially during short circuits for quick emergency reactions, are studied. The research also includes blocking automatic reclosing to prevent unwanted disconnection cycles, as well as implementing arc protection systems for busbars and fault backup systems for circuit breakers (CBRO) to improve the reliability of electrical networks.
