Structurally, the stand represented by BMW i3 electric vehicle, on which are made functional cutouts for the front and rear left doors, hood, front bumper, with a fault input unit.

The fault unit is an industrial aluminum profile frame with a front panel. The panel demonstrates electrical circuits for switching on pickups, circuits for the location of sensors in the engine compartment, as well as a USB interface connector, a power circuit fuse, and a circuit breaker. Inside the control unit are mounted a power supply, a communication board with a computer and a relay card.

Faults are enabled from a computer using the EM_Base program. Troubleshooting is performed by connecting the auto scanner to the vehicle’s diagnostic connector.

The training laboratory stand is accompanied with:

a set of teaching materials and technical documentation intended for the teaching staff;
software that allows to enter faults in the electrical system of the electric vehicle.
