The educational laboratory stand is designed for studying the fundamentals of fiber optic cable applications, various methods of their connection, measurement of optical signal parameters, and components of optical communication lines, including light sources, detectors, connectors, attenuators, and power splitters. It also covers methods for determining losses in fiber lines due to bends and lengths, examining fiber parameters and their impact on signal transmission quality, as well as studying numerical aperture for assessing system characteristics.
