Structurally, the training laboratory equipment is made up as a table version
At the front panel are placed circuits of GSM module and mounted connectors with output signals, LEDs, sim-tray.
At the back stand panel are mounted:
- USB- interface connector;
- power cord;
- start button;
- GSM-antenna.
The training laboratory equipment is supplied with:
- a set of teaching materials and technical documentation intended for the teaching staff;
- software for logic analyzer operation and terminal software for virtual COM-port operation.
Experiments provided
- Studying the standard asynchronous RS-232 interface, signal assignment, operating speed, operating modes. Studying the features of the module operation: switching on, resetting, switching off. Learning basic standard AT control commands. Dialing a number, receiving calls.
- SIM-card, connection features, reading and writing data to the SIM card. Standard command sets for controlling GSM modems.
- Studying the modes and methods of sending SMS messages. USSD requests: operating modes, receiving and sending information.
- Proprietary module control commands: studying features, generating sounds, setting power savings and operating modes of the module.
- Studying the power consumption modes of the module: off mode, sleep mode, data transfer mode, talk mode.
