The laboratory stand is designed to be used as a teaching facility to carry out laboratory works to study electric devices used for power supply of industrial enterprises.
Has two h/w versions: full size bench top version and table version.
The following equipment is placed inside:
- cards of a microprocessor measurement system (MPMS) with phase meter functions, a stopwatch with resolution of 0.1 s, an electronic current relay and measurements of alternating current and voltage;
- relay unit;
- power transformer;
- chokes, current transformers;
- capacitors 0.1; 0.2; 0.4; one; 2 microfarads representing a capacitor store.
The front panel of the stand shows electrical diagrams of the objects of study. All schemes shown on the panel are divided into groups according to the subject of the work being done. The panel contains switching sockets, digital indicators, a stopwatch indicator, an asynchronous electric motor, switching equipment, as well as controls that allow you to change the parameters of the elements under study during laboratory work.
The controls include:
- switches unit, allowing you to set different modes of operation of the investigated 3-phase network;
- capacitor toggle switches that allow you to change the capacitance within 0..3.7 microfarads with a step of 0.1 microfarads;
- setting potentiometer of the voltage regulator;
- buttons, switches and toggle switches for current protection of the electric motor and transformer.
To carry out laboratory work it is necessary to assemble the scheme of the object of research with the help of unified jumpers that allows to keep the scheme in a visual form.
Measurements are made using the built-in microprocessor system (MPMS). On the panel of the stand 12 digital boards are installed. Among them: alternating voltage voltmeters, alternating current ammeters, phase meter.
The training system is supplied with:
- student testing program for admission to laboratory work. In the process of testing, both theoretical knowledge and knowledge of the content of the performed laboratory work are checked. As a result of testing, the student receives an assessment of knowledge;
- a set of methodological and technical documentation for teaching staff.
Experiments provided
- Investigation of the transformer secondary windings circuit.
The object of study: current transformers included in the 3-phase network. The connection schemes of the secondary windings of the current transformer used in relay protection and automation devices are being studied. - Overcurrent protection test using induction current relay.
Object of study: electronic current relay. The device and operation of the relay, the features of its use for protection, advantages and disadvantages are studied. - Investigation of the operating modes of the AC power line with load power factor.
Object of study: the model of the transmission line is loaded on the active-inductive load. In laboratory work, the operating modes of the line are investigated when the power factor of the load is changed, the compensating capacitor is calculated and an experiment to compensate for reactive power is performed. - High-voltage motor relay protection test.
Object of study: model of relay protection circuit. The work allows to study, configure and test in practice the protection system. - Step-down transformer relay protection test.
Object of study: model of relay protection circuit. It is required to study and test in practice the operation of the protection system of a power transformer.
