The training laboratory unit is designed to carry out laboratory experiments in physics, investigate rigid body rotation and determine the inertia moment of cross-shaped pendulum and friction moment.
The training laboratory unit is a foundation with a vertical rod. An optical sensor with adjustable height, an electromagnet, and a block with a thread thrown over it are fixed on the rod. There are weights fixed at the ends of the thread. A disc is put on each arm of the cross-shaped pendulum. The disc can be fixed by means of a screw at a distance from the axis of rotation of the pendulum. In the initial position one end of the thread is wound on the pulley, and the second end is fixed by the electromagnet. During the experiment the electromagnet is switched off, and simultaneously the countdown starts. The weight comes into motion, as a result of which the cross-shaped pendulum rotates. When the weight passes the window of the optical sensor, the countdown stops.
