The laboratory stand is designed for carrying out laboratory works in physics at universities. The stand is designed for study of phenomena of light reflection from the interface of two media.

Structurally, the present training laboratory equipment consists of an experimental unit and measuring block.

It is represented as an assembled frame from aluminium profiles and flat base. On the base is placed a mechanism for angle pointing, at the table is fixed a prism of dielectric, polarizer and a laser connected with power supply unit. On the field of stand shall be mounted a light pick up connected with measuring unit. To focus the beam at the light pick up can be used collecting lens. For displaying the lighting intensity is used measuring block.

The stand is accompanied with:

  • set of methodical and technical documentation for teaching stuff;
  • software.

Experiments provided

  1. Determination of reflection coefficients at various angles.
  2. Obtaining the total internal reflection of the beam.
  3. Effect of radiation frequency on the angle of refraction.
