The training laboratory system is designed to familiarize students with the spectrometer on the diffraction grid, to watch the spectral lines of inert gases and metal vapes, which were excited to glow, to measure the wave length of spectral lines and compare them with the reference data.
Structurally, the training system consists of the aluminium base with following equipment:
- high voltage generator for spectral tubes;
- fixing for interchangeable diffraction grids;
- collimator’s tube;
- eyelens tube.
The collimator is used to make the parallel beam of light, directed to the diffraction grid.
The eyelens on the rotatable platform is used to observe for spectral lines, appearing behind the diffraction grid.
On the front panel of the system is the power button of high voltage generator. The equipment case is covered with the box to protect from day spectrum.
The parallel beam of light, passing through the diffraction grid, due to the diffraction behind the grid, spreads and interferes on all possible directions. The spectrum lines are in the eyelens, located on the way of interfering light.
The training system is supplied with technical and methodical documentation for teaching staff.
