Training laboratory unit is intended to be used as the training equipment in the higher and secondary educational establishments during lecture classes and laboratory-and-practical studies on “Physics” and “Engineering mechanics” disciplines.

The training laboratory bench is designed for showing the position of instantaneous axis of rotation in the complex body motion.

The equipment constructively consists of the laboratory unit and control unit.

Fundamentally the laboratory unit consists of two rotating disсs, the first of which is mounted on a stationary motor shaft with adjustable velocity and direction. The second disc is mounted on a movable shaft which is mounted on a rotating disc. The second disc is marked with guides for determining the instantaneous stationary axis of rotation by the optical measurement system. The whole structure is mounted on a steel base. Control and measurement system allows the user to adjust the rotational velocity of the discs and read its value.

The training system is accompanied with:

  • a set of teaching materials and technical documentation intended for the teaching staff;
  • a software.

Experiments provided

  1. Determination of instantaneous axis of rotation at angular velocities equal in magnitude and direction.
  2. Determination of instantaneous axis of rotation at angular velocities equal in magnitude and different in direction.
  3. Determination of instantaneous axis of rotation at angular velocities different in magnitude and direction.
