The training unit is designed for use as the educational equipment at carrying out of laboratory works under the course “Electrical measurements”.
The following equipment is located inside:
- phasemeter board and low-frequency oscillator;
- USB-HUB;
- load resistors board;
- load resistors unit;
- current and voltage transformers, serving as inductive elements in laboratory experiments;
- capacitors unit;
- electric incandescent lamp unit, serving as a load in the study of electric meters;
- autotransformer (LATR);
- rectifier controlled by LATR voltage.
The electrical schematics of the investigated objects are depicted on the front panel. All the schemes are divided into groups, according to the theme of the experiment.
The front panel includes:
- single-rate meter of active electrical energy of three-phase alternating current;
- smart meter of active and reactive electrical energy of three-phase alternating current;
- USB interface for computer connection to smart meter, USB oscilloscope and panel microprocessor wattmeter / varimeter;
- panel microprocessor wattmeter / varimeter;
- switch sockets;
- switchboard instruments (ammeters, voltmeters);
- switchgear apparatus;
- control elements, which allow to change the properties of the investigated elements during experiment.
Control elements:
- which allows to set the following voltage values: 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 80, 100, 120, 140, 180, 220V;
- potentiometer of the additional resistance in the rectified current circuit;
- master potentiometer of low-frequency generator for the regulation of frequency sine-wave in the range from 30 to 300 Hz.
The measurements are taking using switchboard instruments, single-rate and smart meters of active and reactive electrical energy and digital measuring system, built-in the training system.
The training system is supplied with:
- a software to test and pass students before the experiment. Both theoretical knowledge and knowledge of the contents of the laboratory work are checked. As a result of testing the student receives the mark;
- a software for panel microprocessor wattmeter / varimeter;
- a software for smart meter of active and reactive electrical energy of three-phase alternating current;
- a set of methodical and technical documentation for teaching staff.
Experiments provided
1. Check the technical ammeter of magnetoelectric system.
The object of investigation: ammeter of magnetoelectric system. The scheme and methods of checking the ammeter are studied, the accuracy class of the ammeter is determined.
2. Check the voltmeter of magnetoelectric system.
The object of investigation: voltmeter of magnetoelectric system. The scheme and methods of checking the voltmeter are studied, the accuracy class of the voltmeter is determined.
3. Check the electronic wattmeter.
The object of investigation: electronic wattmeter. The scheme and methods of checking the wattmeter are studied, the accuracy class of the wattmeter is determined.
4. Check the single-phase electric energy meter.
The object of investigation: single-phase electric energy meter. The scheme of checking a single-phase counter by the method of separate voltage and current circuits and the work of register mechanism are determined. It is necessary to find the real constant of the counter and its fault level at various loads and to check the threshold of counter sensitivity and the lack of shunt running.
5. Extension of the ammeter measurement limits.
The object of investigation: ammeter of magnetoelectric system. Methods of extension the limits of ammeter measurements are studied, the calculation of shunt resistance is conducted.
6. Extension of the voltmeter measurement limits.
The object of investigation: voltmeter of magnetoelectric system. Methods of extension the limits of voltmeter measurements are studied, the calculation of dropping resistor impedance is conducted.
7. Measurement of resistances by indirect method.
The object of investigation: resistance of small percentage. The schemes of determination the resistances by the method of voltmeter and ammeter. The measurement uncertainty is estimated in various methods of switching on the voltmeter and ammeter.
8. Measurement of phase factor cos(φ) in different load types.
The object of investigation: single-phase RLC-load in different combinations. It is necessary to learn to measure with cos(φ) phase meter and determine its value by calculation. Investigate the influence on cos(φ) amounts and nature of the loads.
9. Measurement of inductance by indirect method.
The object of investigation: inductive elements. An indirect method of inductance measurement is studied.
10. Measurement of active capacity in three-phase circuits.
The object of investigation: three-phase circuit with RL-load. The basic methods of measurement active power in three-phase circuits with the help of single-phase wattmeter are investigated, device and principle of operation of three-phase wattmeters are studied.
11. Measurement of electric potentials, current and frequency with the help of electronic oscilloscope.
The object of investigation: oscilloscope. It is necessary to study the device and the rules for the operation of electronic oscilloscopes, to learn methods of measurements the amplitudes of continuous and pulsed signals with the help of oscilloscope.
12. Measurement of active and reactive power of single-phase alternating-current with the help of panel wattmeter, ammeter, voltmeter.
13. Measurement of active and reactive power of three-phase alternating-current with the help of panel wattmeter / varimeter.
14. Measurement of active and reactive electrical energy of three-phase alternating-current with the direct connection of the electricity meter.
15. Measurement of active and reactive electrical energy of three-phase alternating-current with switching on the electricity meter through the current measuring transformers.
16. Measurement of active and reactive electrical energy of three-phase alternating-current with the direct activation of an smart meter.
