The training laboratory stand is dedicated for using it as training equipment at second specialized colleges and higher education establishments for performing laboratory classes and such disciplines as “Structure of motor vehicle” and “Vehicle Technical Maintenance”.

The educational laboratory stand allows visually demonstration and studying the design, as well as the structure and operating principle of the components and elements for rack-and-gear steering.

Structurally, the stand consists of allu frame, where are based:

a panel with graphical drawing of electric motor drive of rack-and-gear steering as a cutaway model. At the image are listed the components of the rack -and-gear steering electric drive and indicates their location;
a cutaway model of electric drive. The section of the body of the product was made considering the optimal convenient access for studying the internal components of the structure.

General elements of the electric rack-and-gear steering are:

electric steering motor;
steering column input shaft;
electronic control unit;
torque sensor;
control mechanism.
