The stand allows the investigation, the diagnostics and the troubleshooting of the gasoline engine injection system FSI (Fuel Stratified Injection) to be conducted.

Structurally the training laboratory equipment has mounted the following elements: electronic cards, fuses and relays blocks, a front panel.
On the front panel is drawn up the functional circuit of FSI injection system, which includes the following:
- injection system sensors;
- executive devices (spark-plug, injectors, throttle valve, etc.);
- instrument cluster panel;
- engine control unit.
On the panel is presented a graphical circuit that makes it possible to study:
- diagram and details of the engine power supply system;
- mechanical part of the engine with precise location of sensors and actuators in the engine;
- circuit and sensors of the engine management system.
The engine control system has a built-in fault input unit, for its computer diagnostics is provided an OBD2 diagnostic connector on the panel. To examine the sensor signals, the panel has jacks for connecting an oscilloscope.
The stand is accompanied with a set of methodological and technical documentation for the teaching staff.
Experiments provided
- Studying the elements of the engine control system with FSI injection system. Functional circuit.
- Studying the principles of diagnosing the control unit, sensors and actuators of the engine. Entering faults.
- Studying the elements of the engine power supply system. High and low pressure stages.
- Studying the mode of starting the engine, the principle of operation and operating ranges of the sensors of the FSI injection system. Assessment of the impact on the operation of the system.
