The training system is designed to study the automation of residential premises. The basic elemental base and operational characteristics of individual control and monitoring systems, as well as programming techniques for event processing, are studied.

The training laboratory bench is designed for being used as training equipment at higher and secondary educational institutions in laboratory and practical classes and provides opportunity to connect and test “Smart home” system and its specific elements.

Has two h/w versions: full size bench top version and table version.

A complex of investigated control elements (modules) is placed on the bench front panel. Communication between the central element and modules is implemented through CIB busbar. Electrical connection of the modules is executed with flexible connecting jumpers and cables.

Executive and control devices and elements are also installed on the panel.

The following items are mounted on the panel:

  • power system;
  • central element;
  • bus separator;
  • dimmer (analog module);
  • switching element (relay module);
  • temperature control module;
  • module discrete inputs;
  • control sensors;
  • luminaires;
  • actuator (relay).

Assembly of electrical circuits for work is carried out using pin plug jumpers.

The training system is supplied with a set of technical and methodical documentation intended for teaching staff.

Experiments provided

  1. Setting up connection of central element of “Smart House” system with PC.
  2. Assembly and testing of power system and data bus system, setting up connection of central element with peripheral devices.
  3. Assembly of lighting system with terminals and central element programming.
  4. Assembly of lighting system with analog outputs and central element programming.
  5. Assembly of security system with motion sensor and central element programming.
  6. Assembly and testing of “Smart House” system and central element programming.
