The training laboratory equipment is designed for studying signal propagation in fiber-optic, symmetrical and coaxial communication lines.

Structurally, it consists of a body with mounted front panel and an integrated work table top.

At the front panel are mounted:

  • automatic circuit breaker;
  • video source;
  • video receiver;
  • communication line based on fiber optic cable;
  • communication line based on symmetrical cable;
  • communication line based on coaxial cable;
  • variable active load;
  • EMI generator operating controls;
  • switching elements of communication line.

The body stand has mounted the following equipment:

  • power supply source;
  • communication cables;
  • EMI generator;
  • signal converter.

A communication line based on a fiber optic cable consisting of 4 segments of a 25m long cable. A communication line based on a symmetrical cable representing 4 segments with length of 25m twisted pair cable UTP Cat. 5e 2х24AWG. A communication line based on a coaxial cable represents 4 segments with length of 25m of cable РК 75-3-32. Communication lines are assembled through switching elements on the panel with connecting cables of the appropriate type.

The training system is supplied with a set of teaching materials and technical documentation intended for the teaching staff.

  3. Bandwidth of communication lines.
  4. Noise immunity comparison of communication lines.
  5. Cable wave impedance.
  6. Influence of inhomogeneities imported into the joint of an optical cable on signal distribution.
