The educational laboratory stand allows for the investigation of relay protection devices and automation systems in power supply systems. The laboratory work covers various methods of protection for power transmission lines and electrical circuits. This includes instant overcurrent protection, as well as maximum overcurrent protections with both independent and dependent time delays. It also explores voltage protection schemes, differential protections for lines and transformers, and automatic overload and emergency protection systems. The studies include automatic activation of backup power sources and re-closure of lines and transformers to ensure the reliability of power supply.

The laboratory stand is designed for carrying out laboratory works in universities and secondary technical educational establishments for the study of “Power Supply of Industrial Enterprises”, “Relay protection and automation”, etc. The object of study is relay protection and automation devices in electricity supply systems.

Has two h/w versions: full size bench top version and table version.

Structurally the stand consists of a body in which part of electric equipment, microprocessor measuring system, front panel and desktop of integrated table are mounted. 

The laboratory stand is supplied with:

  • program for testing students’ knowledge before conducting the works. Both theoretical knowledge and understanding contents of the laboratory work are tested. Each student’s knowledge level id graded;
  • a set of teaching materials and technical documentation intended for the teaching staff.
