The unit allows to conduct the following experiments:
- Simulation of a short circuit phase on the case.
- Simulation of inter-turn phase winding.
- Simulation of phase winding breakage.
- Simulation of interphase closure of phase windings.
- Incorrect winding connection.
The basic types of faults in three-phase asynchronous motors which can be studied with use of the simulator:
- simulation of the U-phase short circuit to ground;
- simulation of the V-phase short circuit to ground;
- simulation of the W-phase short circuit to ground;
- simulation of the U-phase winding interturn fault;
- simulation of the V-phase winding interturn fault;
- simulation of the W-phase winding interturn fault;
- simulation of the U-phase winding breakage;
- simulation of the V-phase winding breakage;
- simulation of the W-phase winding breakage;
- simulation of the U and V-phases interphase fault;
- simulation of the U and W-phases interphase fault;
- simulation of the V and W-phases interphase fault;
- simulation of the wrong winding breakage.
Each of the faults is set with a separate tumbler switch. It allows combining several faults simultaneously.
Scope of delivery includes the multimeter.
The unit is supplied with a set of technical and methodical documentation for teaching staff.
