The stand contains:
- two framework constructions FC1 and FC2;
- a pump unit;
- a rectangular flume;
- adjusting and connecting accessories;
- data & measurement system.
A hydraulic tank and a pump monoblock unit containing a centrifugal pump and a three-phase electric motor are installed on FC1. The frontal part of a slume is fixed on the hydraulic tank with swivel joints (possible to turn). The opposite part of a slume stands on FC2, which contains a special hydraulic drive with a hydrocylinder and a manual pump providing the slume’s turn around the joints fixed on the hydraulic tank. It allows varying inclination of the slume bottom steplessly. The output of the centrifugal pump is connected to the slume with elastic piping.
The longitudinal walls of the slume are made of transparent material. One of these walls has a coordinate grid plotted on X and Y axes on the frontal side of the stand. The stand contains a set of wall devices for installation into the slume (weirs, gate).
The data & measurement system of the stand allows measuring local longitudinal velocities and flow rate of the water which comes into the slume, coordinates of free surface of a fluid flow.
The stand is accompanied with a set of teaching materials and technical documentation intended for the teaching staff.
