The educational laboratory equipment is designed for conducting laboratory and practical classes at universities and secondary educational institutions when studying three-phase asynchronous electric motor.

Structurally, the training system consists of the motor with input fault unit.

Fault simulator provides the possibility of simulating several faults simultaneously. Terminals of the motor windings are derived to a special panel. Fault diagnosis is performed using a multimeter.

Computerisation is a feature of this equipment modification. It allows carrying out methodical preparation and theoretical testing of the students with special software. Also it provides process automation of faults simulation and their search validation.

Faults simulated

  1. Short circuit between phase A windings.
  2. Short circuit between phase B windings.
  3. Short circuit between phase C windings.
  4. Short circuit between phases A-B.
  5. Short circuit between phases B-C.
  6. Short circuit between phases C-A.
  7. Phase A ironwork fault.
  8. Phase B ironwork fault.
  9. Phase C ironwork fault.
  10. Phase A field-failure.
  11. Phase B field-failure.
  12. Phase C field-failure.
