The training laboratory unit is designed to demonstrate the influence of inertia moment value on the motion pattern of bodies sharing similar dimensions and weight.
The unit consists of a metal case located on adjustable supports, adjustable inclined control surface, 2 rolling bodies (cylinders) with different moments of inertia, simultaneous start device and a measurement unit.
The angle of the movable surface is adjustable at a pinch of 1⁰ and it’s coupled with inclined part, where position sensors and limiting catcher for cylinders are installed. Depending on the experiment conducted the catcher could be located on different spots of surfaces. Position sensors are connected to separate measurement unit with special cable.
The sensors are powered from the measurement unit.There are four 4-digit indicators for cylinder’s movement time value, indication mode switcher and a reset button.
The unit could be used separately or with a PC. The measurement unit could be connected to a PC via USB.
The training system is supplied with:
- a software for building graphs with the display of dependencies of the studied parameters and the formation of reports on the results of the experiments performed;
- a set of methodological and technical documentation for teaching staff.
